Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted June 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 11, 2015 “It is not always men who are best adapted to the successful management of a church. If faithful women have more deep piety and true devotion than men, they could indeed by their prayers and their labors do more than men who are unconsecrated in heart and life” (Manuscript Releases, vol. 19, p. 56). Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted June 11, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) Some will say that Eve led us into sin so that proves women are weaker and not fit for ministry. Wow. Who took the next bite? NOTE: As a point of disclosure, and in not wanting to be accused of claiming authorship of something that another wrote, the above comes from "Barely Adventist." Outta Here
Some women are fully capable; just as some men are. One's gender really has nothing to do with management skills.
Liz
There was a small church in a small town (pop. 13,000) it shared it's pastor with two other small towns, so it only got a pastor once a month. The congregation was made up of the very elderly and women, if everyone showed up it had maybe 10-15 members. When the pastor wasn't there, they didn't have an 11:00 hour, they would just have Sabbath School and go home. Had one of the women been allowed to conduct services during the 11:00 hour, then maybe there would still be a church in that small town.
