B/W Photodude
You May Have Heard That The Divorce Rate In The Church Is 50% … Get Ready To Be Shocked. These claims, long understood to be research-based facts, never quite sat right with me. Still, admittedly, while these assertions do swim upstream against the flow of both our common sense and our common experience, we have, nevertheless, accepted them (present company included) as valid because – well, you know, because “social science …” As it turns out, your gut was right. It’s all nonsense – urban legend of a sort, propagated, most likely, by the same post-moderns who today seek to similarly undermine the God-designed institution of legitimate man-woman marriage by redefining it into oblivion. http://www.westernjournalism.com/flash-christians-actually-far-less-likely-divorce/ Lauralea 1 Quote >>>Texts in blue type are quotes<<< ***************************************************************************** And therefore as a stranger give it welcome. jbal7
I have heard similar statistics like that before. Never really even questioned them. Thanks for posting this. I just got married back in March. I love my wife and can't imagine every being without her. GayatfootofCross
Aliensanctuary
If one respects their spouse and takes care of them like they're supposed to, divorce is unlikely. It's when selfishness overrides the willingness to give-and-take that relationships are destroyed. Nice that someone challenged the "estimates" that have been used as facts. The first year of our marriage was the best year we ever had together. Stan
I remember a sociology professor stating the Pastors will be causing divorces in church as they misunderstand stats and proclaim the 50% of marriages end in divorce.. roughly 10% of first marriages end in divorce, it is higher in the Church Quote If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses. https://www.paypal.me/clubadventist Administrator of a few websites like https://adventistdating.com
