Administrators debbym Posted February 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 15, 2016 i would like to see many more stories of people's lives and how they met Christ and how their lives have changed. Testimonials, is the old fashioned word for it. this inspires faith and hope. Like the story of the demoniac that prepared their people to receive Christ when he came to work among them later. Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 19, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 19, 2016 The shows that SDA Members would want to be available on television (hope, 3-ABN, etc.) are often NOT the shows that would appeal to: 1) Christians who are not SDA. 2) People who are not Christian. So, this raises the question: What is our purpose (objective) in spending money on religious television? 1) Is it to comfort the members? If so, which ones. 2) Is it to help non-Christians to commit to Christ? 3) Is it to convince Christians who are not SDA to convert to SDA? Once we have established the purpose (objective) the questions becomes: 1) What is effective in accomplishing our objective? 2) To what extent are we accomplishing our purpose? 3) What changes do we need to make in order to be more effective in accomplishing our objective? Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 19, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 19, 2016 NOTE: I have raised the above questions because as I read the responses, I found one, or more, responses to clearly be something that would probably comfort one segment of the SDA membership but of little effect on people who are either not Christin or are not SDA members. Rather than challenge an individual response, I decided to generalize my response. Further, these questions are often the basis for the criticism that is made about the One Project. TOP simply does not fit the objectives of some people. Quote Gregory
