Nicodema
Since you folks are such excellent prayer warriors I thought I'd tap you one more time to remember my boyfriend in prayer for a job he really needs and wants. He has been stuck pimping out his talents to the Feds for several years and has a real strong heart-need to be doing something meaningful (to him) with his skills -- using them in support of projects or causes that he feels are important and do good work in the world. He has been interviewing at a place that would fit that bill and very much wants this job. More to the point, he actually prayed (he's not a believer) prior to finding this opportunity and he believes this might be an answer to his prayer. It would certainly be a big faith boost for him to see this fulfilled. He goes back for a third interview (sounds promising, right?) this Friday but he has just been a nervous wreck about this whole thing. I think he's gotten too emotionally invested in it but I can understand because it has been a longstanding pattern of defeat for him in his life, to not be able to find jobs using his skills for meaningful purposes in life that he can really "get on board" with. So please pray for two things: (1) that the Lord will work it out so he will be offered the position this Friday; and (2) until then, that the Lord will be near him to calm his nerves, give him reassurance, and grant him peace in his heart; AND (3) oh yes! of course! that he will recognize the hand of God in this, and that it will be a clear sign to him that God does love him and IS there for him, and that he can trust the Lord and turn to Him for ALL his needs, great and small. As you know I am very eager for him to come to faith!! And this could prove an important development in that journey. Thank you so much for all your prayer support, friends! Fran
I will add this to my current prayer for you and yours. Quote The greatest want of the world is the want of men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true & honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty..., men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.{Ed 57.3}

Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted March 24, 2006 Moderators Share Posted March 24, 2006 Today is Friday. Has he received a positive response? The way I look at it, being very pragmatic about job applications is the only way to survive. Thinking, okay, if it's good for me to have that job, fine. But if not, I can use the interviewing experience to my good, making me less nervous the next time I go out for a job interview. He's a success, personally -- either way. Nicodema
Haven't heard anything yet ... will post when I do! Thanks for all your prayer support. Especially important for me as Satan has been all over me all week and I have not been able to pray much or pray well. I don't know what I'd do without others willing to give up their time to pray for me and mine. Thank you, very much, sincerely. Quote "After such knowledge, what forgiveness?" -- T.S. Nicodema
Well we won't know anything till early next week (Monday or Tuesday). PLEASE redouble prayer. It's down to him versus one other candidate and you know what that means ... skill and competence no longer matters; it's the "swimsuit competition" (a.k.a. popularity contest). Please Jesus ... this means so much to him ... please come through for him on this one ... please ... do it for HIS sake, for HIS need, not for my asking. ///////// Quote "After such knowledge, what forgiveness?" -- T.S.
