Well, the US Supreme Court has spoken,  It has decided on what the statute actually says.

My personal opinion:  As we now know what the statute actually says, that law ought to be changed in this respect.

 

The majority of employees in SDA hospitals in the U.S. are not members of the SDA denomination.  As such, ought to have the same protection of their retirement rights as to employees in other hospitals.
