Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted August 4, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2017 Zealandia exists. But, what is it? Is it: * The name of a planned human outpost to be established on another planet. * A fictional literary device in a H.G. Wells novel. * The home of a religious sect in the north-central U.S. * One of the continents of planet Earth. * Associated with New Zealand. * A location deep in the South American jungle where some pre-historic, living animals have been discovered. * A splinter religious group that has broken off from the SDA denomination. * A dietary supplement that is expected to prolong life was discovered by a research institute in New Zealand. NOTE: More than one of the above may (?) be correct, or none may (?) correct. If any are correct, tell us all that are correct. If none are correct, tell is what Zealandia actually is. Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted August 4, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2017 O.K. I will give you some hints: * Zealandia once had a relationship to Australia, but it no longer has that relationship. * Of the list that I have posted above, some are true and some are false. This should give you a start at eliminating some. Quote Gregory
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted August 4, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2017 One more hint, maybe: The 7 continents of the world (in order of area) are: NOTE: The following are what is generally taught in the U.S. But Internationally there is disagreement. In some places North and South America are taught to be one continent. Europe and Asia, in some places are also taught to be one continent. And, Antarctica is taught in some places not to be a continent. So, there is no one established argreement as to how many continents exist. Asia Africa North America South America Antarctica Europe Australia Quote Gregory
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted August 4, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2017 The correct answers from the list at the beginning: * One of the continents of planet Earth. * Associated with New Zealand. Zealandia is believed to be a continent that was once next to Australia, but has moved away from it. 94% of the continental mass lies under water. The 6% that is above water includes New Zealand. And how many of you knew this? By the way, the Internet has information on this. Quote Gregory
