Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted August 14, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 14, 2017 Unity Conference 2017, Publications In the early days of our denomination, our doctrinal understandings were fleshed out in a series of five (5) so-called Sabbath Conferences. Those conferences have continued to this day to serve as the foundation of SDA beliefs. During June 15-17, 2017, a Unity Conference was held in London, England. It was neither a political discussion, nor designed to promote female ordination, nor a discussion of the GC secretariat document on denominational unity. Rather, it was a biblical, historical examination of church authority, structure, unity and liberty of conscience. Spectrum has published the papers presented in this Conference in a combined Issue 2 & 3, of Volume 45. This issue publishes three (3) papers of the morning devotions, four (4) papers in Church Structure & Authority, three (3) papers on unity, three (3) papers on Liberty of Conscience, and a final paper on aspects of denominational history. [NOTE: This paper was not presented at the Conference. I plan to comment further on this paper in a separate thread.] NOTE: I am not aware of the price that Spectrum may charge for this publication.
