As the Commander in chief, the military does what the President directs. If Presidents decides to have a public parade of U.S. military might, it will happen. It is said that the President got the idea for this from France. It is believed that what the President has in mind is along the lines of such parades that have occurred in the Soviet Union and in North Korea. Such, if it takes place is likely to be very costly. The U.S. had one in 1991, that is estimated to have cost $8,000,000. Retired Flag Officers of military services have come out publicly against such. We shall simply have to see the extent to which the President accommodates his whims and for no good purpose. NOTE: Flag Officers are Generals and Admirals.
