It may be implied that they are not held to the same standard of males. Below I am listing a couple of women and their military service. I will suggest that these women have risen to the point where service of less quality would not be accepted. Colonel Eileen M. Collins, United States Air Force, Retired. * 26 years in the Air Force. * Pilot of the space shuttle. * Commander of the space shuttle. * 850+ hours in space. * 6,700+ hours as member of aircraft crew, in flight. * Crew member of 30 types of aircraft. Major General Tracy L. Garrett, United States Marine Corps, Retired. * 36 years in the Marine Corps--active & reserve. * Decorated veteran of the Iraq War. * Commander Marine Forces Europe. * Commander of Marine Forces Africa. * Inspector General, Marine Corps.
