Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted August 9, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 9, 2018 In the United States from 5,000 to 6,000 people each year are falsely determined to have died by the Social Security Administration! Within 3 working days of this, all of your Federal entitlements will be stopped. Over a six (6) period of time additional steps will be taken that will strongly affect your life and your finances. E.G. The cancellation of your Medicare benefits will likely result, under some conditions, of your inability to receive medical care from your HMO. As the process tales place, all of your financial accounts will be frozen. If married, your spouse will likely be affected. Depending upon how early in the process you decide that your are actually alive, it can take from weeks to months to regain your status as a living person. To begin the process you will have to present in person to your local Social security office. Social security does not engage in telephone conversations with dead people. Along with a personal trip to the local office, you will have to present a multitude of documents that attest to the fact that indeed are alive. It is advised that you establish your own social security account to that you can monthly access it in order to determine that Social Security has not ruled that you have died. NOTE: The Federal Government has a Death Master File of those who are dead. I am attempting to see if this is available to the public as an additional source you may use to determine whether or not you have died according to the official records. This file is available to the public, but to obtain access you must register. For access see: https://www.ssdmf.com/ Quote Gregory
Members rudywoofs (Pam)
the Social Security Death Index is up-to-date from 1962 through February 28, 2014 you can access it for free at: https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1202535 Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
