"Adventist-Catholic Healthcare: Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ," Spectrum, Vol. 47, # 2, 2019, pages 51 - 60. Also see a slightly different version of this article that appeared in the Winter, 2019 (Vol. 27, #1) issue of Health Care Ethics, USA, which is a publication of Catholic Health Ministry. * In 1995, the SDA Porter Care and the Roman Catholic Sisters of Charity Health Services combined to form Centura Health. * Presently AMITA Health, in the Chicago area, is a SDA/Roman Catholic organization similar to Centura Health. * Presently a similar union between a "Roman Catholic and a SDA hospital system, in Northern California, is under review by the Federal Trade Commission and the California State Attorney General. Mark Carr is an ordained SDA clergy-person who is the Regional Director of Ethics for Providence Health and Services in Alaska. The Spectrum article is an interesting and informative article on the issues that resulted in the formation of Centura Health. The Roman Catholic version of this article, also written by Mark Carr, may be viewed at: https://www.chausa.org/docs/default-source/hceusa/witness-identity-and-common-ground-in-collaborative-arrangements.pdf?sfvrsn=2 Quote Gregory
