How to Be a Born-Again Christian??

When God pardons the sinner, remits the punishment he deserves, and treats him as though he had not sinned, He receives him into divine favor, and justifies him through the merits of Christ’s righteousness. The sinner can be justified only through faith in the atonement made through God’s dear Son, who became a sacrifice for the sins of the guilty world. No one can be justified by any works of his own. He can be delivered from the guilt of sin, from the condemnation of the law, from the penalty of transgression, only by virtue of the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ. Faith is the
only condition upon which justification can be obtained, and faith includes not only belief but trust....

Many concede that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world, but at the same time they hold themselves away from Him, and fail to repent of their sins, fail to accept of Jesus as their personal Saviour. Their faith is simply the assent of the mind and judgment to the truth;

Quote

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a [person] be born again, [they] cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3)

What does this mean?

(2 Cor 1:3-4) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

I would like to propose a definition of someone who is "converted:

One thing that amazes me is the consistency and yet the simplicity of the ways that people use hope in order to see life in a brighter light. Hope is not dependent upon advanced skills of any kind; nor does it require great physical strength or moral character. No discipline of education could ever claim hope as their sole domain. Hope develops and is strengthened, often by just the simplest things, and the smallest efforts. But we can indeed ask the question: "what are the ways that we can invite hope into our life?

"Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life." (Prov 13:12).

IF a person, ANY person, no matter the "orientation" has THIS kind of hope, they are "converted."

One, quick example; when Jesus said to Peter "when you are converted..."  what was Peter like then? Did he have THIS hope?

(HINT) this post will likely have its highest value if applied only to yourself

(2 Cor 1:3-4) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
