Pollak: Biden Kills Up to 70,000 Jobs on First Day in Office (breitbart.com)

To bad  that includes those that did not vote for Biden because of these very issues

President Joe Biden’s first day in office may have been historic in more ways than one: he may have set a single-day record for the number of jobs killed by an American president.

Biden revoked the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, as promised. In so doing, he killed some 11,000 direct jobs that the pipeline’s construction was to have created, and an estimated 60,000 indirect jobs in secondary, related industries.

Over 1,000 workers already on the job — mostly union workers — will be laid off as a result of the decision, even if it is litigated, as many expect it will be, in the courts.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) confronted Secretary of Transportation nominee Pete Buttigieg over the Keystone XL decision on Thursday morning, during Buttigieg’s confirmation hearing. If the administration was serious about infrastructure, Cruz asked, why was it killing an infrastructure project with “good, paying union jobs”?

When Buttigieg said the idea was that “net” jobs created in more climate-friendly industries would be positive, Cruz retorted that that was little comfort to the Keystone XL workers who were being laid off: “So for those workers, the answer is somebody else will get a job?”

The Association of Oil Pipe Lines complained, as did the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters — though the union may only have itself to blame: it endorsed Biden in August, after he had promised to kill the pipeline in May.

Biden also halted the construction of the border wall on the U.S.-Mexico boundary on Wednesday. While the projections for jobs there are somewhat unclear, one analysis (by an opponent of the wall) in 2017 estimated that the wall, if fully constructed, would create 10,500 jobs.

Moreover, on Thursday, the Biden Administration announced that it had suspended oil and gas permits on federal land Wednesday. It is unclear how many jobs that will cost — but the outlook is not good.

Most presidents promise to create jobs. Biden killed up to 70,000 jobs in his first 24 hours — and the true total may be even higher.

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.

The number of "regret' voters is growing daily as the damage to the country is growing with little more than a week in office. It is amazing how stupid people can be sometimes. When will people ever learn that actions (elections) have consequences!

This has a familiar ring. Wasn't it Obama/Biden promised all these shovel ready jobs. Later on when questioned on the jobs "chuckle, chuckle" we sort of lied and there never was any shovel ready jobs

At least China should be happy . 70% of solar panels are manufactured in China. Not sure how that will help our unemployed from the pipelines but it should make the Biden's more popular in China than ever. I wonder if those  that voted Biden out of this blind unhinged hatred for Trump feel a sense of relief that China might like us again?

There is a growing number of "regret voters" who wish they hadn't voted for Biden. There are two unions who supported Biden and got the rug pulled out from under them on the Keystone cancellation. As the country continues to go down the tubes, the stolen election will grow more and more a concern in the mind of many in the public. Of course, there are the true believers who will always hate Trump, America, and God's law.

You think Biden is bad?  Just wait until he is removed from the presidency because of senility or the 25 Amendment; and Harris is President.  Then we'll truly see how screwed up things can be.

Look at the increases in the prices of silver and gold since election day.  Wild gains in the prices of precious metals is almost always a sign of increasing uncertainty about the economy and the value of the dollar.

Gas prices in our area are rising in anticipation of Biden going back on his word. Not that conservatives are surprised but Biden voters seem to be. Price has gone from 2.02 to 2.34 and is inching up.   With Biden/Harris or Harris/??? we are going to be in a world of hurt.

But all is well, the unhinged hatred of the left has paid off. I am anxiously waiting to hear how rising prices  are Trump's fault

Well, yesterday I paid $3.80 for gasoline - in Idaho.  When the election happened, I was paying $2.30.  Biden's actions aren't helping anyone in this regard.  It is purely ideological - he is against fossil fuel, and doesn't care what we pay per gallon.  Theophilus was telling us how much Biden cared versus Trump who "didn't care".  I wish he would explain to us why all this "caring" is costing me twice as much at the pump.

I have to laugh because whenever a Republican is president everyone is claiming the gas prices low, and when a Democrat is president the prices are high!! As if a president has any control over gas prices!! Here's a link to show that that is not the case:

Our gas was 2.04 at the time of election. It is now 2.79.  Prices on many items are rising. From Proctor and Gamble to lumber and many items in between. Why not anticipate the behavior of the president would influence gas prices as well? Most people I know personally do not have the slightest faith in what the media says.

I am always mystified at the reasoning of some that believe a president can do what has been done since the election  and we will not feel the impact in our wallets.  Now a miserable jobs report. In Biden's reasoning his plan is working great. Most of us understand that paying people close to or at times actually exceeding a paycheck to stay home will have that effect. Why work?  We have businesses that close a couple of days a week because of the inability to hire employees. High school students no longer willing to work at 12.00-15.00 per hour ,family providers save on day care and work related expense. Help wanted notices are on every block in the business district, with sizable hiring bonuses. Just why would anyone expect reasonably intelligent people to cut their own throat.  Of course there are the many working for cash along with their gov handout. How long can  this country keep this up?

JUst heard Biden say we are moving rapidly on the right track. Does this man have the slightest idea of where this continued handout will lead?

You cannot reward people by handouts and staying home and expect people are going to be eager to return to work?

None of the handouts are free gov money. It is your money, my money, money of those willing to get up and go to work every day that is being used to make more reliance on government and that is what Biden claims to believe is his plan working as meant to.

I cant see much difference between socialism , democrats and some republicans.

The government of the US is knowingly and without much pushback violating laws that they willingly prosecute private citizens for.  Causing those they prosecute to lose their livelihood usually along with a very large fine.  Distressed white farmers in Iowa are not eligible to have their loans forgiven, distressed farmers of color are eligible for 120% loan forgiveness.

Restaurant owners that are of color or minority status are first in line for  government relief. If any money is left over after the minority status get their then the white distressed male owners may apply. 15,000 cash to unemployed Immigrants, actually illegal immigrants in New York. How does this work? There should be a huge pushback to this and yet very little. Lawsuits are beginning but it appears that with the total silence from democratic voters that Biden has plenty of support for flagrantly ignoring and breaking the laws of this country.
