What one thing would you like to see or happen to make you happier or make the world better?

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

thats a very good question

All progress in the Spiritual Life is knowing and Loving GOD

"there is non upon earth that I desire besides YOU" PS 73:25

That perspective changes EVERYTHING-suffering and adversity are the means that makes us hungry for GOD. Disapointments will wean us away wordly occupations. Even sin(when repented of) becomes a mechanism to push us closer to HIM as we experience His Love and Forgiveness.

Only one thing, huh?

That will require a lot more thought than a laundry list of everything ...

If people would be authentic, really care about others instead of just trying to layer a thin veneer of good behavior over top to make themselves SEEM like they care, and for heaven's sakes, stop playing little games like they think a body was born yesterday!

Well ... it would be a start.

Many times lately I can think of something which would change that "or" to an "and": shuffle off this mortal coil.

I am a nexus; therefore the two are inextricably intertwined.

Having said that, I would like to offer my sincere apologies for the last 7 years. None of you deserved that.

Of course, neither did I deserve what created it.

Back to the reality you are all more familiar with, now in progress ...

Eliminate the monetary system and implement the bartering system!

My wish would be that every child around the world would receive at least one genuinely loving hug per day. []http://img.inkfrog.com/pix/Rudywoofs/squeeze.gif[/]

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

And lonely, married, middle-aged people who are forgotten because everyone assumes..... whatever they assume.

But only when they can accept the hug....

A heart where He alone has first place.

How about your christian brothers and sisters look into each others eyes and see love and genuine acceptance.

A Common Unity. Community.

To see people stop mistaking fear for conscience, superstition for discernment, self-justification for God's approval.

I wish the US Gov't would pull it's head out of its rear end and stop thinking the best thing to do for its citizens is to increasingly lock us down in a bureaucratic prison-fortress as if WE were the criminals. I wish the rest of the world would realize we are being held prisoner here (will be even moreso by the end of this year) and just bust in and free us all already.

My wish/prayer everyday is that God will give me the strength to live today. One day at a time. One minute at a time. That he will wake me in the morning for a new day.

When that is finished I pray that I will be raised in the right resurection.

The greatest want of the world is the want of men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true & honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty..., men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.{Ed 57.3}

Since we're just wishing here, I'm wishing the rest of the world you're talking about would prove their capable of doing that before they make the effort as I believe there have been a number of nations which have already tried to do what you're wishing, with calamitous results.

Beautiful wish Fran.

As for just wishing. I wish we could all be healthy and happy ... without having to exercise, or diet.

Guess that is what we will have in the new world.

I recently heard of a new category - the "Nearly Elderly" - No joke. I think the age range was 55-64. Doubt that helps. The person that was getting ready to talk about that to us first apologized to several at the table before she even mentioned the classification. And so it goes...
