This is a problem I've heard many military people talking about!! ps:A little update on the trucks coming in to Gaza! I was listening to Velshi this morning and he mentioned that actually only about 50 trucks a day have been coming in. I didn't hear if that was all that was being aloud in or that was all that was coming in?? Also I had heard, I believe about 2/3 weeks ago that what was needed was at least 100 trucks everyday for a number of months to keep up with demand. A pretty dire situation for sure!! Photo: Hussein Malla/AP The killing of Hamas deputy political leader Saleh al-Arouri in a drone strike yesterday was unsurprising to many. Al-Arouri himself had long expected to be killed, Axios' Barak Ravid reports. The 57-year-old was one of the most wanted men in the Middle East, with close ties to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and Hezbollah. Why it matters: The killing of al-Arouri is a major blow to Hamas. He's the most senior Hamas leader who has been killed since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack. "I am not afraid [of] their threats to kill me," al-Arouri said in an interview on Hamas' al-Aqsa television channel last August. "I have already lived more than expected. I feel I passed the age I was supposed to die. ... When I die as a martyr, I will welcome it." The Israeli government hasn't publicly claimed responsibility for the strike that killed al-Arouri. One Israeli and two U.S. officials confirmed Israel was behind the attack. Al-Arouri was a target for years. But Israel hesitated to try to kill him in Istanbul, and later in Beirut, to preserve relations with Turkey and avoid provoking Hezbollah from starting a war, Israeli officials said. After Hamas' terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7 killed at least 1,200 people, according to Israeli officials, Israel was ready to take more risks. His pledge came a day after the deputy head of the Palestinian militant group was killed in a suspected Israeli strike in Beirut. Read more.
