darlene Posted June 23, 2004 Share Posted June 23, 2004 Elder Jim Wilson, former Canadian Union Conference president passed away on June 20th. He had recently had open heart surgery and was slowly recovering at home. Last week he was talking and laughing and on Sunday he had gone to emergency just to have something checked out when he suddenly passed away. It was a nice, simple service with a lot of reminiscing and ended with a very beautiful song on cd by David Phelps "Fly Again." He was a man who loved Jesus, family and sports. One of his greatest skills was in chairing and directing committees. A great man of God who will be greatly missed by family and friends.
