It is often celegrated with fire works, and fire crackers. In June, the 13-year-old grandson of one of our friends decided that he could save money if he made his own fire crackers, so he set out to do so. As he was making one, it exploded in his hand. That resulted in the total loss of that hand and also one eye. At a young age, I do not remember exactly when, I set out to beat a 22-caliber shell with a hammer.
