Washington Redskins safety Sean Michael Maurice Taylor had ties to the

Seventh-day Adventist Church. Taylor began attending the Bethel

Seventh-day Adventist Church in Florida City in 1983 with his dad,

stepmother and grandmother. While growing up, he also attended the

Perrine Seventh-day Adventist Church in Miami with his mother and great

grandmother.

Funeral services were held today (December 3) at the Pharmed Arena at

Florida International University in Miami. Participants included Pastor

Antwoyn Mells of the Perrine Seventh-day Adventist Church and Pastor

David Peay of the Tabernacle Seventh-day Adventist Church in Miami.

“The Seventh-day Adventist Church joins with many others around the

country mourning the loss of this fine athlete and wishes God’s

comfort to his family and friends,” said Pastor Don C. Schneider,

president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America.
