CGMedley
Seminary professor Jo Anne Davidson promotes the notion of a biblical mandate for protecting the environment. You can read her piece “And It Was Good” in this week’s Adventist Review. http://www.adventistreview.org/issue.php?issue=2008-1523&page=
olger
I thought Joann's article was balanced, though focused mainly on animals. I wonder what treatment she gives the sanctuary service in regards to animals. og Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
carolaa
Seems like a no-brainer to me. God made it for us and asked us to take care of it. Naturally, we're trashing it.

Neil D
Am almost finished with a book called "A spring without bees." It's about bees and the CCD [colony collapse disorder]. According to the book, there is ample evidence that states that pesticides are what is causing CCD. France, in the 90s had CCD problems, and eventually beekeepers had to go to the streets to demand that certain pesticides that contained Neonicitiods cease from being used. The bees of southern France came back and in record numbers. The pesticide manufactorers will tell you that that isn't so. But the Beekeeper will. and are enjoying record numbers of bee swarms... Olger, you won't like the book, cuz it promotes ecology farming. It says that for EVERY pest, there is a biological solution and not a chemical one. Chemicals [pesticides] allow the pests to become resistant. Biologicals have not pests that become resistance because it's eat or be eaten...they don't evolve/adapt to biological....but they do with chemicals... It's part of a stewardship program that allow for ecological theology... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve.
