She is now running against Nancy Pelosi for a seat in the US Congress. When speaking at the rally, Sheehan said that the United States of America is a "fascist police state." The second picture shows the media coverage of Cindy Sheehan's speech. I took the photo within moments of the time that she pronounced her judgment that America is a fascist police state. Jenkins invited them to come on Fox News and explain their viewpoint. Here Jenkins is waiting for signal from the Fox studio to begin interview with a man who was one of the original "yippies" at the Chicago convention in 1968. His story was portrayed in the film, "Born on the Fourth of July." At this rally, Ron sounded a note different from most of the other speakers. He talked of the US as "the land we love" and of wanting to make it a better place. A very friendly and polite man, he had a smile on his face almost the whole time.
