John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

I took a few hours off from photographing the demonstrations and protests to photograph flowers, a welcome change of pace. 8-26-08

A Christian, protestant church from Los Angeles area which participated in the march and also sang one song in Spanish at the rally in Lincoln Park. During the march they sang Christian songs about God and were a real contrast to the communists who were marching only about 40 feet behind them.

Second picture shows a Catholic priest who was asked to offer prayer. His prayer was mostly concerned with the desire for love and peace for all mankind.

Obama vs. "McBush". Easy to tell who these demonstrators will be casting their vote for. Anyone surprised?

I believe the evidence shows that Obama is a socialist/Marxist. (His voting record as well as his speeches and the fact that he campaigned for a socialist congressional candidate demonstrates this.) Therefore it is only to be expected that these demonstrators, almost all of whom are themselves Marxist in their world-view, would vote for him.

Water Lily Pond, Denver Botanic Gardens. 8-26-08

Like I said before, I had to take a morning off from working the protests and photograph flowers at the Denver Botanical Gardens, a very beautiful and peaceful place.

I'm so sorry you are not in St. Paul this week! It sounds like much more excitement is going on there. To be expected, of course. They are arresting members of the press and even taking away their press passes, just because they were covering a protest or inquiring about someone who was arrested. It's insanity. It's America. Our free country.

I believe strongly in the right of the people to demonstrate and protest and say what they feel they need to say. I do not personally agree with many of the things they say, but that is beside the point.

I would also have liked going to St. Paul but it was impossible for me.

In Denver the police actually did what they could to help the demonstrators accomplish their goals of expressing their beliefs. Early Monday morning about 300 demonstrators were temporarily "arrested," and some were maced, but I didn't witness that event. It was the only time to my knowledge that any of the demonstrators were arrested in Denver while I was there.

Before the march on the 28th to Lincoln Park, a spokesman and leader of the march thanked the police for their help in facilitating the march, and there were some who clapped and otherwise indicated they agreed that the police had done a very professional job.

From what I understand, the situation in St. Paul has been different, with some of the protesters committing acts of violence. I do not have all the information about it, though. I'll have to wait until I see more information on what's going on there. I know that some demonstrators want violence. I have personal knowledge of the Revolutionary Communist Party. They actually seek violent confrontation. There are also others, such as leftist anarchists, who want to cause problems with the police. That is what they come for. It is their objective to show the police and the government as violent and opposed to freedom. They can only do that-- from their viewpoint--through provocation. They make no secret of this.

Christian group from LA singing gospel music during march. 8-28-08

They marched only a little ways in front of the banner of the Revolutionary Communist Party (who are, of course, militant atheists).

Later, as seen in the bottom photograph, they would sing a song in Spanish at the rally at Lincoln Park.

Agape International Choir, Christians from LA area who took part in the march from Rude Park to Lincoln Park in Denver. We marched by Invesco Field where Obama gave his acceptance speech. 8-28-08

I took the picture while they were singing gospel songs as they were marching. They were having a great time singing about God. You can see the happiness and joy on their faces.

He was the sole member of the "gay contingent" I saw at the demonstrations, although I had read that there would be many there. I looked for their table at the rallies and parks but didn't see any. 8-28-08

The bottom picture of the Agape Choir was taken just before I took the picture of the "gay contingent." It shows their reaction to being video-taped by him.

Is that why everyone is walking away from him?

Actually he was in the middle of the choir. I'll post a picture showing the reaction of the Agape Choir to seeing the gay man in the pink shirt. He was video-taping the choir singing and dancing on way to the rally. I took it just before the picture of the "gay contingent." They all stopped singing and dancing when they saw him. I think they were distracted for a while, and he looked pleased.

That person dressed like a bishop with the mannequin (boy?) is a little freaky.

You've heard of the family that prays together. Well this is the family that marches together.... Denver, 8-28-08

One of my personal favorites of the march is of the mother and infant below. Both photographs were taken within a few minutes of each other.

All I can say is I'm glad I was surrounded by lots of people. He actually kind of reminds me of that man in the Chicago area, John Wayne Gacy, who used to get a big kick out of dressing up like a clown.
