John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

FoxNews Reporter, Griff Jenkins, arguing with unidentified reporter on the steps of Colorado capital building. The African-American reporter accused Jenkins of having been too aggressive in gaining interview of Ward Churchill. Jenkins invited the reporter to come on FoxNews, but reporter declined. After a rather heated argument, as shown here, they finally parted with apparently no hard feelings between them. However, quite a few members of the crowd around them were cursing and yelling at Jenkins, telling him to shut up and get out. It got rather wild and rowdy for about fifteen minutes.

Griff Jenkins Surrounded by Crowd, 8-24-08

He was waiting get the OK from the studio and O'Reilly to go ahead with a live interview. There was so much noise and so much cursing going on at this time that he had a hard time communicating with them.

Ward Churchill and body guard. A leader of the protests and marches.

Ward LeRoy Churchill (born October 2, 1947) is an American writer and political activist. He was a professor of ethnic studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1990 to 2007. Primarily, his work focuses on the historical treatment of political dissenters and American Indians by the United States. His work features controversial and provocative claims, written in a direct, often confrontational style.

In January 2005, Churchill's work attracted publicity, with the widespread circulation of a 2001 essay, On the Justice of Roosting Chickens. In it, he claimed that people killed in the World Trade Center attacks were involved in provoking the attack. In March 2005 the University of Colorado began investigating allegations that Churchill had engaged in research misconduct; it reported in June 2006 that he had done so. Churchill was fired on July 24, 2007 for research misconduct.

Training classes where demonstrators and protesters were instructed on how to respond to police arrest and confrontations. Part of the class was about undercover police who might suggest that they commit crimes. The demonstrators were/are not opposed to crimes; they just don't want to fall for an old police trick. The demonstrators were given leaflets calling upon them to do anything which would disrupt the capitalist establishment and keep business from proceeding as usual while the convention was in progress. They are using the same tactics in St. Paul during the RNC.

Most of the demonstrators are peaceful. But there are groups, such as Recreate 68, some anarchists, the Revolutionary Communist Party, which favor violence.

Ron Corvic and other leaders of the demonstrations. He was badly wounded in Vietnam and his story is the subject of the film, "Born On the Fourth of July."

His speeches were about love of country and wanting to make "the land we love" better.

The heavyset, bearded man to the right of Corvic was introduced as "one of the original yippies" who was at Chicago in 1968 along with Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin. I'm sorry I've forgotten his name.

Unidentified speaker and leader of demonstrations.

I know she's a fairly well-known political activist. Anyone recognize her? I thought she has a very beautiful smile and upbeat personality, kind of like Ron Corvic that way.

Lower picture shows FoxNews waiting to interview her.

Young Boy on Father's Shoulders proudly holding up American flag at Cindy Sheehan rally. About the time this picture was taken, Cindy Sheehan called the United States of America a "fascist police state." She is trying to win a seat in the congress of this "fascist police state," to replace Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi's popularity in her native San Francisco right now is 8%, so Cindy has a chance to beat her.

Griff Jenkins interviewing "one of the original yippies." Jenkins' assistant is on his left and is trying to call the studio on his cell phone since Jenkins was having trouble communicating through his ear-piece. It was all still chaotic at this point. People were pushing and shoving, and about ten minutes earlier I thought they were going to trample Jenkins. He never looked concerned, though. He kept his professionalism intact throughout and never even raised his voice. 8-24-08

Kathleen Cleaver, speaker and leader of demonstrations; former wife of the late Black Panther co-founder, Eldridge Cleaver. The latter was best known, apart from his political activism, for his letters written from prison and published as the book, Soul On Ice.

Ms. Cleaver graduated with a law degree from Yale University and is a professor of law. (Google)
