Woody
Do we as a nation really want earmarks? John McCain for 20 years has consistently refused earmarks for his state. Barack Obama got over $1 billion this year for his state. John McCain has taken a stand. Will we join him and his effort? Or will we forget about CHANGE and go with the status quo? For REAL Change ... I suggest John McCain. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology. carolaa
Sarah Palin has not refused earmarks. I think they must be a budget item in Alaska, they are so counted on.
Dr. Shane
Earmarks are when federal money is given to a state and designated for a specific project. Most governors of most states would rather just have the federal dollars without the earmark. Special interest groups and individual congressmen tend to be more in favor of earmarks than governors.
