Paul Beach Posted April 18, 2002 Posted April 18, 2002 Mrs. Gray found the following link about the origin of Amazing Grace fascinating. http://www.snopes2.com/religion/amazing.htm Quote
AndrewM Posted May 15, 2002 Posted May 15, 2002 I preached this selection from the internet almost word-for-word a couple of months ago. I find biographies help me understand how people can get from point 1 to point 4 in their faith. On a deeper level, do you notice how "Amazing Grace," "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and other grand hymns centered on Christ compare to insightful yet shallow fare like "Tis Love that Makes us Happy"? [ May 15, 2002, 06:50 PM: Message edited by: AndrewM ] Quote God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
Ellen Posted May 23, 2002 Posted May 23, 2002 Our pastor used this story as well in a sermon. Biographies are more interresting than fiction! Noone could make up a story like that Quote
