Stan
Many have read books by Louis L'amore, the prolific western Author... BUT were you aware some of the Sackett family in his books became adventists? The Current President of the British Columbia Conference, is Harry Sackett, part of that clan. Moderators LynnDel Posted October 5, 2002 Moderators Share Posted October 5, 2002 Louis L'Amour wrote western fiction. I've read one or two. Don't remember a Sackett family. I'm puzzled, though. Are you saying that in his fiction works there is a real-life Sackett family? Or did he also write stories that were not fiction? Or -- are you starting a new SDA urban legend? LynnDel (tempted to start a legend that Peter Rabbit was SDA; he certainly had a good mother, was vegetarian, and experienced salvation. . .) Neil D
LynnDell, I have read all of the Sackett family fiction...And, Yes Stan, it is fiction...that is, not a true family....However, much of the historical background is relatively truthful... And it's just a plain good yarn... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. Stan
While it is fiction, some of the stories are still based on that family. AND yes they did become SDA, Quote If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses. https://www.paypal.me/clubadventist Administrator of a few websites like https://adventistdating.com
