Does it scare you? Just think how easy it would be to add lists of those who would have to pay higher taxes. This reminds me of State Sales Taxes. It is so easy to say ... Oh we will just tax one percent. But soon ... it becomes 23456789 . Well you get the picture. What seems reasonable now ... can soon get out of hand ... and you end up really hurt. Those politician just love to spend your money. Why give them an inch. We have many examples of this type of approach in other countries. And folks ... It don't work. There's no difference between Obama's and McCain taxation plan because BUSINESSES DON'T PAY THE TAXES. The taxes that businesses pay are added to the cost of products made (and lower wages) and eventually passed on to the consumers. Even if they did not pass it on to the consumers... most of the businesses do not pay taxes by means of creative accounting... and there are MANY things you can do to write off a "loss". And the reality is that 2/3 of all american businesses do not pay income taxes Quote: It's often said that there are two things we can depend on in life: death and taxes. The former is legal and the latter will put you in prison, just as it did Al Capone. There are many excellent sources that can tell you more about how to avoid taxes. Seek them out. Secondly, if you really think that USA can go on the way it does without anyone suffering a tax raise... I think you are up for a surprise. The early church.... Really, think it out. Taxation is socialism....IT's redistribution of the wealth. We all benefit from this.... The war in Iraq...I opposed it, but guess what I'm paying for it. Abortion. I don't like it, but I'm paying for it. Gas taxes...I use the roads...you use the road...we all use the roads. Why? Socialism -spreading the wealth around. Otherwise the rich would have the paved roads while the rest of us would be using dirt roads. For too many years corporate lobbyists have been bribing our governing officials. So corporate America gets all these tax breaks and then they turn around and place this money in their banks and /or outsources American jobs for cheap, exploited labor. This hurts the Chinese & American workers. Who benefits off this corporate welfare (socialism)? The Capitalists! Aren't they a bunch of hypocrites. So while you can make the argument that Obama is stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor, I can make the argument that he is simply giving back to the poor what the rich took from them through all these years of lobbying Washington. He's cool under pressure, extremely intelligent, well organized, and has the support of the world leaders! I don't even think of him as black any more. He's got so much more going for him. I was transfixed by his performance at the third debate, against the sneering, insulting attacks from McCain. He was calm, cool and collected. We NEED him. Do you all know how extreme his Pro-Choice views are? Congress tried to pass a law that if a baby was born alive during an abortion, the Dr. would have to do his best to keep the baby alive. OBAMA voted AGAINST that! Is that the kind of "cool" President you want? Have you listened to any of his Pastors sermons - Pastor Jeremiah Wright? They are filled with radical, anti-white and racial slams... How can Adventists vote for an abortionist? Why worry about keeping the Sabbath if we are killing babies?????? I felt he explained it pretty well in the last debate, that he didn't vote for the bill because first of all, doctors are already required - both by the Hypocratic oath as well as laws already on the books - to save a baby that is born alive. And second, he cannot in good conscience vote for a bill that does not include a provision for the life/health of the mother; if it had included that, he would have voted for it. It makes sense to me. Furthermore, he is proposing policies for the purpose of reducing the number of abortions. Under Obama, there will likely be fewer abortions than there would be under McCain. But I'm not sure fewer abortions is what the right wing nuts really are interested in. They just want power to make laws that would turn desperate women into criminals. This is the most misunderstood statement of Obama that I have seen.... Based upon his statements, and what he has shown, he has explained his stance, as like a professor [guess what? He IS one!]. He has gone in depth as to how he believes he can pay for his programs, as like a leader...And you say people flock to him like a "Rock Star"???? McCain could have had that status if he would have explained his views...If his views made some sense, and if he had gone into them. Instead, his stance was "Trust me." And the people responded with "Why should I trust ANY politican?" McCain repeated with "You must trust me." And the poeple asked "Why should we trust you?" He said "I know the way out of this mess!" And the people ask " How?" and McCain said "Trust me." And the illogic began all over again. And some of the people said, " He don't say anything!" And a majority of the people said, " Yeah, he don't." There is no "Rock Star" status with Obama. People flock to him because he has a plan!...And McCain doesn't have one that makes sense...
