Amelia
Christian right intensifies attacks on Obama Conservative activists escalate 'doom and gloom' rhetoric as Nov. 4 nears By Eric Gorski and Rachel Zoll AP Religion Writers Oct. 25, 2008 Terrorist strikes on four American cities. Russia rolling into Eastern Europe. Israel hit by a nuclear bomb. Gay marriage in every state. The end of the Boy Scouts. All are plausible scenarios if Democrat Barack Obama is elected president, according to a new addition to the campaign conversation called "Letter from 2012 in Obama's America," produced by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family Action. The imagined look into the future is part of an escalation in rhetoric from Christian right activists who are trying to paint Obama in the worst possible terms as the campaign heads into the final stretch and polls show the Democrat ahead. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27369927/ Quote <p><span style="color:#0000FF;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-style:italic;">"Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you."</span></span> Eph 4:29</span><br><br><img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetemp_both/US/OR/Fairview.gif" alt="Fairview.gif"> Fairview Or</p>
Dr. Shane
This is Dr. Dobson's political arm. He is the same one that would not endorse McCain until Palin was put on the ticket. However the fact remains that a vote for McCain is still a vote for McCain. McCain is not known for being a man of temperance. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... carolaa
I think it's pretty sad that the only thing the McCain backers have left is the fear card.

Neil D
I can quote pretty much any of the current polls and it shows Obama as leading anywhere's from 5% to 13 %.... Which one do you want? And if Obama wins, do I get to say "Naner naner naaaaaner!"? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. Dr. Shane
The wishful thinking on the part of Republicans is that since Kerry was ahead of Bush in the polls a week before the election in 2006, that perhaps McCain might be able to pull this off. I doubt it. I don't even think it will be close in the electoral college. The Republicans' best hope is that Acorn registered a lot of people that will not vote and a lot of the Republicans that crossed over in the primaries to vote Democrat will return "home" and vote Democrat in the fall. Neither of those scenarios are being accounted for in the polls and those are the only way I could see for the polls being off. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
