Moderators Bravus Posted November 4, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 4, 2008 I guess we'll see. It's a measurable question and the answer is (hopefully) only hours away, Record turnouts bode well for Obama, though. Moderators Bravus Posted November 5, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2008 Pretty tough row to hoe from here, at about 10 pm Eastern, with CNN calling 207 for Obama and 135 for McCain. Fivethirtyeight.com (most accurate before the election) have called it for Obama already and are predicting 353 electoral votes for him at this point. Woody
Yep, When I checked on Fox ... 75% of the vote counted and McCain was only behind by one percent. Dr. Shane
Is that crow going to be roasted or fried? Yes, the overall popular vote looks rather close. It certainly doesn't look like it is going to be a landslide. However the political reality is going to be the same as if it was a landslide. The Democrats are picking up a lot of seats in the House and the Senate and Obama is getting about 2/3 of the electoral votes. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Taylor
But Obama has enough electoral votes to more than win now. Doesn't that mean he is automatically the winner no matter how many "popular" votes McCain gets?

OK, Bravus, I guess you can wait until January 20 if you want to. But I hope you admit that I was right and you were wrong. Bush did not take us into a war with Iran.
