whbae
I can't figure out God. I have been reading Ellen White's 6 volume biography. As I finished the 1st volume, I came away with many questions than answers. I am under impression that Mrs. White did not enjoy good health througout her life. Why didn't God allow her good health while she was a prophet! Why did James White suffer a stroke while he was serving God with all his might! I also thought a huge sacrifice sacrifice was required in their lives for the work of God. Constant struggle of financial situation. And God was very stern with them. As I am into half way to the volume 2, I get impression that God is more compassionate to them. I hope some will make some sort of comment on the matter. Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted May 2, 2009 Author Administrators Share Posted May 2, 2009 Given my mental capacity, a God that I could understand would be small and worthless. If my mental capacity could fully grasp and understand God, could I still call Him God? Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal."
