Cosmin M.
My mom can to me and told me my grandfather had just died this morning in Romania... I don't know what to do... I am all dry eyed from crying too much... And to sum it all up he died right on Fathers day.... I wonder how my dad feels right now... The doctors said he died from a stroke... Why couldn't have I been there? No, actually I don't want to be there... I wouldn't have wanted to see him die... I refuse to go to his funeral... Please pray for me... I know I shouldn't be crying because I will see him in Heaven again, but it's just so hard to stop...
Members rudywoofs (Pam)
I'm so sorry Cosmin.... will be praying for you and your family. p.s. there's nothing wrong with crying for the loss of your grandfather..... Key Guy
Cos, NEVER be ashamed of crying, grieving or even being angry. They are all human emotions that we were given by God. Not only did He give us those emotions, He gave us His comfort through the Holy Spirit to get you past this. I am praying for that. Use this sad time to bring the family closer to each other and God. Jesus knows full well what you are going through. He'll not let you suffer alone.

Moderators Nan Posted June 21, 2009 Moderators Share Posted June 21, 2009 Thinking of you too, Cosmin, and praying for you. If you are there for his funeral, try to go, it can be an important family time. It does not matter if you cry, it does matter that those who loved your grandfather can acknowledge his life and give each other support. LifeHiscost
You are the second in two days, close, of which I've become aware. Knowing sleep to be their present experience makes it easier for me. "For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing."1 Thessalonians 5:9-12 NKJV Blessings! Quote Lift Jesus up!! Amelia
Make that 3 LHC. My childhood friends father passed this past week too. Massive heart attack out of the blue. It's rough for her as she is a missionary in Taiwan and last minute plane trips home are hard to pay for. Praying for you Cosmin and your family. Just remember the peaceful sleep grandpa is having right now and the beautiful sight he will see upon rising. Ted Oplinger
Lost my father 18 months ago. Mother went to sleep last Christmas day. I know what you're going through, Cosmin. My prayers are for you and yours for comfort during these days. In Christ, Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. GreatLakesGramma
Cosmin, cry all you want. Even though you will see your grandfather again, you still have an empty place in your life now, where he used to be. I still sometimes miss my father in law, who has been gone nearly a year now. Life STILL doesn't seem quite right without him. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. Members phkrause
Cosmin nothing wrong with crying. When my father died november 1998, my mom had me read his favorite text in the Bible, I cried through the reading of that. Even after all this time I still cry when I think about him every once in awhile. So Cosmin, will be praying for you and your family. And one of the great things or benefits of being an adventist , is that we know that we will be reunited with our loved ones when Jesus comes to get us. I think this is one of the most beautiful promises in the Bible that God has given us. pk Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. Stan
Those of us who have lost someone close to our heart, understand that kind of pain. A couple good things that often happen 1- We get in touch with reality and understand what things in life that are really important. 2- Connect with family, sometimes that only happens at funerals. Moderators Kevin H Posted June 22, 2009 Moderators Share Posted June 22, 2009 We have a right to be sad when a loved one dies. Jesus crys with us when a loved one dies. We are not stoics even though society promotes stoisism. It is these tender ties that draw us to heaven. My prayers are with you
