Stan Posted March 18, 2010 Share Posted March 18, 2010 ASHLAND: Anna Perez, age 94, of Ashland, passed away March 12, 2010. Anna was born March 27, 1915 in Bridgeport, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Matus) Sommers. Anna loved people, all sizes, shapes and colors and most of all, she loved her family. Her love came from a deep and long lasting relationship with her God and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a faithful servant of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as Sabbath School Director, Organist, Community Services Leader and Sabbath School Teacher. Anna is remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family and friends for her many wonderful and generous deeds. She always had a bright smile for all she encountered. She leaves behind her daughter, Marlene Smith of Naples, FL; and sons, Fred (Carolyn) Perez of Fort Benning, GA, and Alan (Jean) Perez of Ashland. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Mansfield Seventh Day Adventist Church Community Services Fund. Arrangements are at the direction of the Heritage Cremation Society.
