Stan Posted March 24, 2010 Share Posted March 24, 2010 GALION: Ruth M. Davis, 88, of 1415 Harding Way East, Galion, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Davis was born in Canton, OH on July 14, 1921 to the late William and Elva (Potter) Elmore. She married William Charles Davis on June, 10, 1939 and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Galion Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by one son, Kasey (Geraldine) Davis, Crestline; and one daughter, Elva (Roger) Bonser, Mansfield; one sister, Dorothy Hampton, Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Davis, Mansfield; seven grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald L. Davis; two brothers, Robert Elmore and Roy Elmore. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Galion Seventh Day Adventist Church, with Pastor Marcellus de Oliveira officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Crestline. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 371 Cline Ave. Mansfield, OH 44907 or the Galion Seventh Day Adventist Church in care of the funeral home. The Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home in Galion is honored in assisting the Davis family with funeral arrangements.
