Stan Posted April 2, 2010 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Long-time Loma Linda University pathology professor dies at 103 10:00 PM PDT on Thursday, April 1, 2010 The Press-Enterprise Dr. Albert Brown, a long-time pathology professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and 1933 graduate of the school, died March 21. He was 103. Brown, a native of Philadelphia, joined the school's faculty upon graduation and taught there until his retirement in 1982 at age 75. A childhood convert to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Brown attended church schools from the eighth grade. He married Edna Angell, a nurse in the school's teaching clinic, in 1932. She died in 2002. Dr. Brown died at a Loma Linda board-and-care home. He is survived by daughters Sally Gibson, of Riverside, and Marjorie Pritchard, of Lake Tahoe, Nev., five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
