Dr. Shane
Hmmm, Why would President Obama choose someone that has never been a judge and thus has no record to examine? I don't know what to think about that. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators John317 Posted May 11, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 11, 2010 It's possible that he chose her for the very reason that she's liberal and has no track record on the bench that could make it difficult to get her confirmed. At least there's nothing in her legal decisions that are questionable and would offer the opposition ammunition against her. I think that was smart move on Obama's part, politically. Another smart move was that he ordered Holder to reverse himself on reading the miranda rights to arrested terrorists. That won't be done again, and I think it's the right decision. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Obama's openly stated goal is to "fundamentally change" the USA. The Supreme Court deals with America's fundamentals of legality and constitutionality. He NEEDS justices who lack the experience and/or backbone to say, "Wait just a minute! That's WRONG!" This is why he had his little put-down of the Supreme Court at his State of the Union address. Trying to cow them into submission.

I think she is a great pick. And agree with your second paragraph. pk Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. Dr. Shane
I don't like people that have never been judges being placed on the Supreme Court. They have no record for us to review. I can't see anything good about that. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
