*  The official position on labor unions is that this is a personal matter and you may either join or not join and remain a SDA member in good standing.

*  There are some countries in the world where the majority of employment positions require Union membership and in those countries the majority of SDA members are Unionized.

*  In the United States, labor unions are generally organized under three sets of laws.  Therefore, what you may correctly say about one labor union will not apply to another labor union.  For example a labor union organized under one set of laws is not allowed to strike and if a Union official were to advocate a strike, that officer could be criminally prosecuted.  But, labor unions organized under another set of labor laws is allowed to strike.  The AFGE is a very large labor union (It represents more than 650,000 people.) that is organized under a set of laws that do not allow it to strike.   In addition people are not required to join it as a condition of employment.

Yes, a lot it was not the unions that were once crooked. It was the Mafia that at one time controlled the unions. I cannot speak for Canada and their unions. But here it is different; I work with unemployment and union workers are the best people especially the hiring halls. They are union labor departments and they are good and their pay is from $30-$60 dollars. an hour.These people pay their dues and they make outstanding money. They are seasonal workers and there unemployment check is excellent as well. These are the people who will save a lot of lives with infrastructure. They will fix these terrible roads, bridges and more.

EGW was not a prophet people. She had visions that she saw, they were already given to the prophets in the Bible. John was the last prophet. She was to reopen what many had forgotten because of the Catholic Church. The pioneers were on milk and needed to know truth, her's and Edison visions open up the truth that were found in both the Old and the New Testament. How many have you read "How to Search the Scriptures," Testimonies to the Ministers? This was her last book publish before she died. She confessed and stated for all of us to not be like the Pharisee Hebrews and the papacy. She said that if they thought one way and today it is found to be error, let it go. She made it clear that if you truly are looking for truth you cannot hold on to what we thought is truth. She said we must search the Scriptures individuality and collectivity! There have been things added to the Bible that's not Paleo Hebrew or Greek. Many of the Greeks or Gentile had changed. Many of the scripts found prove what Paul said that iniquity was already working in his day. It was the many Gentiles that allowed Constantine to make a new Religion. The Hebrews also change and formed the Judaic Religion. They were no longer the house of prayer called IsraEL. IsraEL was not a tribal name. The Bible said a mixed multitude left Egypt with IsraEL. The Bible said that IsraEL will be a house for all people! His House at the end will finish HIS work, who are the remnant, IsraEL will be revive and they will bring in more people the great multitude.

The union had a good purpose here, but bad people tried to corrupt it. But, it survived and it is better now than ever was, even in Sis White's day. Union's are labor workers today then just trade!
