Holland - Donna Lant, age 93, of McKenzie, Tennessee, formerly of Kalamazoo and Holland, died October 10, 2011.

Donna was born February 4, 1918, in Otsego to Cecil and Mildred (Hilliard) Davis. She married Alfred Lant on June 17, 1943, and was a librarian in the Kalamazoo Public School System. Donna and Alfred were members of the Holland Seventh Day Adventist Church and were volunteer librarians at Evergreen Commons Senior Center in Holland. After Alfred’s death in 2003, Donna moved to Tennessee to be closer to her family.

She is survived by her children, Alan Lant (Jo Ann Weber), Dr. Thomas (Luca) Lont, Alonna (Jimmy) Tosh; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Dixie (Warren) Hile.

Following services in Tennessee, a visitation for Mrs. Lant will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland. At 11 a.m. Friday, October 14, a committal service will be at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
