Stan Posted October 25, 2011 Share Posted October 25, 2011 WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Levi Morgan Pierce Armstrong, 19, of Westminster, Colo., and formerly of McDowell, Va., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, in Vail, Colo., as a result of an automobile accident. He was born Feb. 29, 1992, in Durango, Colo., a son of Elizabeth M. and Stevie Armstrong. Levi was a member of Highland Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He had been an apprentice at Obaugh Welding and had worked for Armstrong Excavations and Timber Management. Levi loved to read and write and was always interested in movies and films. He was pursuing his passion by attending Colorado Film Institute at Aurora Community College. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and road trips and loved spending time with friends and family. Levi also had a lifelong interest in his Scottish family history. He is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Stevie Armstrong of McDowell, Va.; four sisters, Chrystal and husband, Kris Berner of Westminster, Colo., Jennifer and Tiffany Armstrong of Doe Hill and Sammie Armstrong of McDowell; a brother, Cory (and Pebbles) Armstrong of Deerfield; nieces and nephew, Isabel, Mikaela and Jaden Berner and Kaylee Armstrong; maternal grandparents, Charles and Shirley Morgan of Apopka, Fla.; and paternal grandparents, Steve and Devonne Armstrong of Doe Hill. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at Highland Seventh-Day Adventist Church with the Pastors Paolo Esposito, Tim Harley and Elmer Malcolm officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Aareon and Vincent Murray, Eric and Scottie Armstrong, Kyle Obaugh, Michael Moats and Jared Mallow. Due to the size of the church, the family encourages you to meet with them from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.
