CARNEY - Eileen Marie Waldo, 86 of Carney, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Roubal Care and Rehab Center.

The former Eileen Bonjean was born on Nov. 1, 1925, in Wilson, to the late Eli and Mathilda (Charlier) Bonjean.

On Oct. 18, 1952, Eileen married Llewellyn Waldo in Wilson. Llewellyn preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2010.

In Eileen's younger years she cooked and cleaned at the Bluebird Restaurant in Carney. Eileen also worked alongside her husband when needed at their saw mill. Eileen's pride and joy was her garden, where there was not a weed to be found. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking, baking and canning the produce from her garden. Above all else it was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that brought Eileen the most joy. Eileen was a member of the Wilson Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen (Joe Skrobiak) Betters of Carney; two granddaughters, Candice (Travis) Thiry of Carney, and Kimberly (Nick) Wender of Lansing; and two great-grandchildren, Talisha McCullough and Chase Cornett. Eileen was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Strahl, and one brother, Orville Bonjean.

Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, after 4 p.m. with prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the Wilson Seventh-day Adventist Church from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Pastor Anthony Ludwig will officiate.

Burial will be in Nadeau Township Cemetery.
