Stan Posted January 18, 2012 Share Posted January 18, 2012 BOILING SPRINGS, SC- Leo Laverne Regester, 91, died Friday, January 13, 2012, at his home. Born February 18, 1920, in Nevada, Iowa, he was a son of the late Claude and Winifred Opal Nikle Regester. He was formerly employed with A & R Rowe Printers and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and sponsored and financed building Seventh-day Adventist Churches in Romania. Survivors are his wife, Edna May Olsen Regester; two daughters; six sons; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Altha Winchester; and a brother, Dr. Willard Regester. He was predeceased by his first wife of 64 years, Gertrude Elaine Martin Regester. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Colburn Hall at the Seventh-day Adventist Church. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary, conducted by Pastor Gary Mattingly and Pastor Jerry LaFave.
