Stan Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 Ruby C. Hislip, 89, of Coos Bay, Ore., passed away on February 6, 2012, at Baycrest Memory Care. Ruby was born in Coquille, Ore., on February 18, 1922. She worked as a waitress and a mill worker, from which she retired with a medical disability. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and an active member of of the Northwest Bird Club. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Clara "CJ" (Don) Petersen; grandsons, James Kelley, and Steven Catlett; granddaughters, Laura Fletcher, and Tina Vogel; sister, Clarissa Pearce; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, newphews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Hislip; parents, Ray and Clara Pierce; sons, Dale and Thomas Vaughn; daughter, Connie Vogel; grandson, Robert Catlett; and great-grandson, Joshua Catlett. She will be missed and loved by many. No services are planned. Arrangements are by Abbey Funeral Home, Medford, Ore.
