Mrs. Nellie Jacquelin Barrett Stinchcomb, age 87, of Thomaston, GA, died April 1, 2012 at Providence Health Care.

Mrs. Stinchcomb was born on July 9, 1924 in St. Petersburg, FL, to the late Harvey and Woodie Barrett. She was formerly employed with the William Carter Company, where she worked as a seamstress for 17 years. She later worked as a paraprofessional teacher for 17 years. Mrs. Stinchcomb was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Judy and Glenn Boyko of ND, Mrs. Kathy and James Durnan of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Mary and John Durnan of Thomaston, GA; sons, Mr. Bill and Ida Stinchcomb of Zebulon, GA, Mr. Steve Stinchcomb of TN, Mr. Carl and Doreen Stinchcomb of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Phillip and Tina Stinchcomb of Fitzgerald, GA, Mr. Jeffrey and LaFran Stinchcomb of Thomaston, GA; brothers, Mr. Bobby Barrett of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Sonny Barrett of NJ; sisters, Mrs. Venita Terrell of Concord, GA, Mrs. Frances Brown of Stockbridge, GA, Mrs. Rudeen Wade of Riverdale, GA; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 2, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
