Stan
BUT he did not say we are the clean the fish. IMHO he still does that. Encourage one another, set an example, pray for these newly caught fish. Support them. If you try to control them, everyone loses. Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do. And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with – even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department. Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Dr. Rich
but keep the line tight. Don't pull to hard or the line might break, Actually, it's more fun to play with them for a while until they tucker out. Using the right lure is a must. Tease them a little so they want to bite. LifeHiscost
Sounds like a winner. Especially when it corroborates what the Word has already said. God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Members phkrause
When I first saw this title, I thought of this song by the Gaither Vocal Band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJBkQ_GemVU Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
Moderators Gerr Posted April 14, 2012 Moderators Share Posted April 14, 2012 In preparing the SS lesson for today, I noticed something in Eph 4:11-12 where we have sorely missed the mark, i.e. the purpose of the gift of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, is to EQUIP/PREPARE the saints FOR ministry. I have been a member of a number of churches in my lifetime, and none of them have ever made it a priority to equip members for ministry. Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted April 14, 2012 Administrators Share Posted April 14, 2012 Yep, last time I went fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, we let the captain clean our mess of bluefish and rockfish. The man clearly had done it many times before. Let the Captain do the cleaning! Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
