Stan Posted April 9, 2012 Share Posted April 9, 2012 Floy B. Greer, age 92 of Winter Springs, Fla., formerly of Aledo died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 in Winter Springs, Fla. Memorial services are 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Memorials may be left for the family. Cremation Rites have been accorded and burial was in the Aledo cemetery. On-line condolences may be left at www.fippingerfuneralhome.com. She was born Feb. 27, 1919 in Hattiesburg, Miss., a daughter of H.D. and Mary Windham Brooks. She graduated from Richburg High School and attended Southern Missionary College near Chattanooga, Tenn. She married Donald “Wayne” Greer Oct. 20, 1946 in Glendale, Calif. He died April 20, 2000. She was employed as a secretary during WWII and later worked as a secretary for the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a homemaker and she loved to sew. She is survived by a daughter: Ginger (Michael) Roberts and a grandson; David Wayne Roberts all of Winter Springs, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and seven brothers.
