Members rudywoofs (Pam)
we already do...they're called "lobbyists".. (unless I'm reading your question wrongly, which, amazingly, can happen) Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others? Moderators lazarus Posted February 27, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2013 Yeah rudy, that's what set me thinking, but what if had APPLE run for Governor of New York or Walmart running for the 5th Congressional district in Texas? cricket
What if we did? And then, what if Apple went bankrupt (or Walmart, or Whichever)--who would the seat go to then?
Administrators Gail Posted February 27, 2013 Administrators Share Posted February 27, 2013 Nice topic! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Moderators Kevin H Posted February 27, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2013 We already do, it's called the Federal Reserve Bank and the council of foreign affairs which is basically the about 200 families of the super-rich who own the corporations. Ike left office warning about the growing military industrial state that is taking away our freedoms. Kennedy tried to limit their power, but Johnson was a part of them. Reagan started as an outsider until he was shot by the son of one of George Bush's business partners, then he spent the rest of his 8 years giving them more power than they had before. They have two sets of advisors who work together one set appears in the press when there is a Republican President, the other set with Democrats. People who oppose them such as Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, find the press not supporting them. We talk about the so called "Liberal Press" but they were bought out by the conservative multinational corporations in the 1990s. Today a Walter Cronkite or Edward G. Murrow would not be allowed on the air. In Revelation 18 the first to mourn at the fall of Babylon are the merchants of the earth because people are no longer buying their expensive items from all over the world, due to the different plagues such as the oceans unable to support life and the scorching sun. Narcah
Corporations are just run by people on a board. So you would have a board running for elected office. Doesn't make much sense does it? Quote -Jason Youtube.com/narcah
Moderators lazarus Posted March 5, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted March 5, 2013 Most organizations are run by some sort of board or other such entity. It would easy to have a person to represent Apple as their political representative. They would sit in congress or sit in the Governor's office. It's a simple concept. Moderators lazarus Posted March 5, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted March 5, 2013 [if a corporation went bankrupt] there would be a special election like when someone dies or resigns. cricket
I think we just gave the budgeting job to Walmart. So...what was the question again?
