Often is associated with binges with those who do not become addicted Is one of the leading causes of serious accidental injuries and fatalities Increases the risk of suicide, homicide, becoming a homicide victim, and abuse Damages the liver...I could go on. One I saw said the risk goes up substantially for those who use it 50 or more times. It also causes chromosome damage and lung cancer. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=marijuana+lung+cancer It builds up in the fatty tissue of the brain so I wouldn't place any bets that because someone is not mentally ill it has no effect on their mental function.
