Having done a bit of storm chasing years ago I can attest to the fact that they can turn on you in an instant. Also, the area he was in can be quit deceptive, even with today's much improved radar. Without Storm Chasers many more lives would be lost every year. May Tim, Paul Samaras and Carl Young rest in peace. I have not seen the show but would not mind watching it and I'm glad for the research that storm chasers have been able to do to help save lives.
