"Doug" Kitson, 50, 6141 I Road, Escanaba, passed away early Thursday morning, June 6, 2013, at Christian Park Health Care Center. He was born on Oct. 11, 1962, in Flint, Mich., son of Clair B. and Barbara F. (Davis) Kitson, Sr. In 1970, the Kitson family moved to Wilson where he attended the Wilson Seventh Day Adventist Academy. He graduated from the Seventh Day Adventist Academy in Cedar Lake, Mich. Doug served in the U.S. Army from 1981 until his honorable discharge in 1983. He was a material handling and accounting specialist II in the National Guard from 1986 until 1988. Douglas C. ‘Doug’ Kitson Over the years, he was employed as a truck driver for Dow Dawson Trucking, Moniowczak Transit Co., and for the last 18 years Snowden Incorporated. He enjoyed NASCAR and drafting homes. Doug was a member of the Wilson Seventh Day Adventist Church. Among survivors include two sons, Jesse and Gage Kitson of Escanaba; his parents, Clair and Barbara; siblings, Janean (Craig) Lanaville of Carney, Clair Kitson Jr. of Collegedale, Tenn., and Jeff Kitson of Green Bay. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bobby Lou Kitson. Services at this time are incomplete. The arrangements will be announced at a later date. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.
