George Zimmerman Verdict

Excellent advice, also there are many SDA Black pastors that have given this advice to there congregations. So should all pastors, ministers, and those that claim to be Revs. We know that there is much injustice in this world, and if we keep pointing to this instead of to Jesus and the end result when he comes, we are just adding to the problem.

By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}

Have you watched this interview of one of the jurors in the case? She says her heart goes out to the Martin family, and now she wishes she had caused a hung jury. But in the interview she concedes that the prosecution did not prove Zimmerman intentionally killed Martin. OK, that's why the jury could not legally have made any other decision than the one they made. Yet this juror says she wishes jurors could vote their hearts instead of the law. But I'm glad they have to vote according to the law. What injustices would ensue if people could vote their feelings!

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

You're assuming that because the law says they can't vote their feelings, that they don't. They do. They don't have to be honest, and nobody can prove why they voted how they did.

Spokesperson for GZ's lawyers.....

“We certainly would not have advised him to go to the factory that made the gun that he used to shoot Trayvon Martin through the heart,” spokesman Shawn Vincent said. “That was not part of our public relations plan.”

Curious that they would say "used to shoot Treyvon Martin through the heart". I wonder what else Z is doing that is not part of the plan. The seeds seem to be germinating.

What do you imagine that he's doing?

Well,we know he is not doing the following. We certainly would have heard from Obama that this could have been his grandmother

or Sharpton and Jackson wold have been eloquently inciting race.

The accused is black

VIDEO: Suspect implicated himself in burglary, homicide, police say

City officials today implicated the suspected murderer of 99-year-old city resident Fannie Gumbinger in five additional burglaries in the City of Poughkeepsie within the last three weeks.

The suspect, Javon Tyrek Rogers, 20, is accused of burglarizing and murdering Gumbinger, who was found dead early Wednesday morning in her home on Underhill Avenue.

"Nobody should to 99 (years old) and die this way," City police Chief Ron Knapp said. "It was a truly senseless killing."

Police said Rogers implicated himself in the burglary and homicide during talks Friday with police. Police came into contact with Rogers when a caller notified police about a suspicious vehicle in the lower north end of the city, police said.

Rogers was in Poughkeepsie City Court again this morning for further proceedings.

Rogers scanned the courtroom briefly upon his arrival this morning. For much of the hearing he kept his head down, looking toward the ground, and did not speak.

At the hearing, before Judge Katherine A. Moloney, Rogers was assigned representation from the Ulster County Public Defender's Office.

Assistant District Attorney Aviv Segal told Moloney that the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office intends to present the case against Rogers to a grand jury Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Rogers was sent to Dutchess County Jail without bail. He is due back Thursday at 11 a.m.

Police arrested Rogers on Friday and charged him with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary, both felonies.

Rogers pleaded not guilty at his arraignment over the weekend, Moloney said.

Dutchess County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Kari Reiber has said Gumbinger died of “multiple injuries,” but declined to provide the exact cause of death, citing the ongoing investigation.

Police were expected to finish processing the crime scene at Underhill Avenue on Saturday. There was no sign of police activity there on Sunday afternoon.

As a result of the police investigation, Rogers is also a suspect in multiple recent city burglaries, including one on Loockerman Avenue on Wednesday.

Gumbinger’s niece, city resident Jacqueline Solomon, 88, said she and Gumbinger’s nephew, Peter Gumbinger, would like to to hold a memorial service for their aunt even though she was not religious and had not wanted a service.

“We haven’t planned anything yet,” Solomon said Sunday.

I have no idea but seems like it will come to light.

Maybe he's planning how he can trick his next black victim into getting on top of him, and beating him half to death, so he can put another bullet through somebody's heart.

I see what you mean. He's diabolical.

Exactly! When the people who succeeded in getting him acquitted are critical you know something is up.

Exactly what has Zimmerman done that has him on your radar.Or are you just hoping that something will become known.

The man was acquitted,is the rest of his life supposed to be under a microscope?

There are many more vicious crimes out there where the suspects should be under a microscope.

Beating an old man to death, raping a 99 year old woman, taking a young man and his girlfriend hostage, raping her in front of him and mutilating both while still alive.

As long as Zimmerman is not breaking any law isn't it about time he is left alone, move onto the ones promoting and committing these animal acts of terror

That's an odd question. This thread is about him. What did he do to get a thread here on CA? Very odd question.

No,the topic was discussed at length, not just here but on Townhall. The trial and what the verdict would be was speculated by members here.

His daily activities now, unless illegal, should not be viewed as suspect.

This has been a dead issue for almost a month. Had Martin killed Zimmerman in "self defense" would you be making statements like this.... The seeds seem to be germinating.

Especially in light of Martins past and recent behavior just prior to his death?

I don't believe you would

Next time somebody jumps on him and starts beatin' the brains out of him, I hope he can get off more than just one shot. Maybe two or three.

Although one was enough last time.

So now his wife give us a glimpse. First his attorneys, now her.

She says her husband was verbally abusive towards her and that he has been making what she considers "reckless decisions".

"In my opinion, he feels more invincible (since his acquittal)," she added.

I think we can all understand what she is saying.

I hesitate to place complete stock in every word a person says of their spouse when they divorce - even if it appears to fit a proscribed template people want to believe of the person. In this case, people wanting to hang Zimmerman are doing just that - fitting her remarks into a proscribed template created to put George Zimmerman into.

Sorry, Laz - not buying it. Even if George Zimmerman is a complete jerk, Trayvon did himself in by circling back and initiating the attack, after Zimmerman had already broke off following Trayvon and was returning to his vehicle (as was demonstrated and not refuted in court). Trayvon was simply seconds away from safety by opening the door and going inside a relative's apartment; punk mentality pushed on by his punk-minded girlfriend turned him away. Had he gone inside, Trayvon would likely still be buying Skittles, Arizona Tea, and Robitussin from the local convenience store.

Anytime a person is on top of another, pounding away upon them, they mean serious bodily harm. Trayvon placed himself willingly into a situation where lethal force returned against him was justifiable. That is precisely what the jury returned a verdict upon. Doesn't mean a thing that the one on the bottom is a complete jerk - the law is on his side.

One of the first things people are taught in concealed weapons, self-defense, or martial arts classes, is that so long as the situation remains as "appearances" and verbal slurs, you are never allowed by law to initiate physical harm. The vaunted "fighting words" simply are not an excuse to initiate assault and battery. Only when actual physical contact is made can one legally harm another in self-defense. Trayvon failed that point.

Outside of the lethal force rules of engagement, such harm from hand-to-hand is also limited in scope. One is legally allowed to use ONLY the needed force to stop the assailant from continuing their attack. Legally, no one is allowed to get astraddle of another and continue flailing away. Trayvon fails here as well.

Every scenario Trayvon's supporters tried to put up to make Trayvon's attack justified failed. The media STILL shows only the angelic picture of a 12-yr old Trayvon, instead of the much less than angelic pictures of the Trayvon taken just before this incident. Propaganda still flows about Trayvon.

Hate to say it, but all the Trayvon supporters simply want George Zimmerman dead, just like Trayvon originally desired when he told George Zimmerman he was going to die that night. Simply an ugly portrait, all the way around.

If George Zimmerman is indeed a complete jerk and punk, it will sooner or later catch up with him. On the night of Trayvon's encounter with George Zimmerman, though, it was Trayvon's being a complete jerk and punk that caught up to him.

Later..

"As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17

"The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Well put, Ted. And who's to say that George's wife isn't a jerk?

She could have been treating him poorly for years, for all we know. When a marriage goes bad it's hard to tell which one is the jerk. We generally side with the one we like, but there is two sides to every story.

Both have gone thru a great deal.We don't have any facts. It may be that with what has happened in their lives they could not pull it together.

But it is more entertaining to keep harping on the imagined sins of Zimmerman.

Seems like his wife and father-in-law now know how Trayvon felt before he died. Didn't think he would reap the worldwind so soon.

Zimmerman ... claimed that he was acting in a "defensive manner" during the incident

As he was acting in a "defensive manner" when Trayvon Martin was shot, I doubt this would have given any comfort to his wife or father-in-law.

The whole family is cracking under the stress.

It sounds like there were cracks in this family prior to Martin. If that is so the rest isn't so surprising.

Story says there was no sign of injury to the FIL and neither want to press charges.

I would think had his wife been that terrified and that is all there is to the story she would press charges or her father would.

I wonder how many members here that are divorced would agree that their ex is telling the whole truth
