Doug Meister
John - Debbies husband called me to say that his wife Debbie died Sabbath morning about 9:30 am (15 Feb 2003). I forgot her age but she was around 50+ something. Debbie had a illness a few months ago which caused her to be taken to emergency. She couldnt breath but they got her back at that time. She was improving a lot but would go in and out of good condition. At least she recognised John and they hugged and kissed several times on different days. But this morning it was not to be. Earlier I put her name in on the Prayer section here. Much earlier I was sort of responsible for Debbie to meet John. I invited her to a singles meeting which happened to be not well attended but John, her future husband was there. They hit it off and eventually got married. They were very close to each other, so its got to leave a huge empty feeling in John. liketowrite
Sorry to hear about this. She was a young woman at least by age. I will pray that God may grant her family and friends the grace to find some peace. How far from home? TC
Shirley
Was Debbie a member of C/A? Maybe before I got here? Will breath a prayer for her husband and family. I know the pain since I lost my mate of 47 years in 1998. Mopsie
Administrators Gail Posted February 16, 2003 Administrators Share Posted February 16, 2003 Yes, that was not so long ago that we were praying for her. When I saw the name on the topic list, I recognised it right away. Doug, I am so sorry that you lost s good friend and that John lost his beloved Debbie. I thank the Lord that you were such a friend to them both. <img src="http://www.clubadventist.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Doug Meister
No Mops, neither of them are on any of these forums. John has a computer but he doesnt like arguing. Thats how he views it. John just retired a short time ago at 57 I think, expecting to have a lot of years with Debbie. John said that he is now waiting for the return of Jesus. I thought that I would hit the 50th with my man but it was not to be. We had just under three years to go. Death is so painful for the living, but, if the one who dies is suffering so, it is a blessing for them. Mopsie
