Godwin's Law?

Or not...

I don't think so, Planey....no one has mentioned "those people" yet....

Trolls and trollish behavior has been alluded to, but "those people"....no, not yet....lol

Quote:
"Repeat an untruth often enough and it will be believed, even by yourself."

I would suggest that conclusion to be true if one ascribes a possibility of credibility. However a favorite ploy of the prince of darkness is to suggest questions as to whether Jesus is really God, the Prince of peace.

It's somewhat like stating a sewer smells sweet. No matter how often it is suggested that it smells pleasant, the scent will continue to give truthfulness to no as the answer to the question, unless of course one is a swine.

God cares! peace

Bravus, I looked at the math for the ice datum. Thanks for your patience, I've been real busy with a couple of writing deadlines.

One map has the following figures:

2012 3.41 1.32 September 16

2013 5.10 1.97 September 13 - represents a 49.7% increase over 2012.

Another indicator by David Rose acknowledges a net increase of of 920,000 miles² from August 2012 to August 2013. That is, an average of 1.32 million miles² in 2012 were trumped by an average of 2.24 million for 2013. That is a 59% increase over the previous year. That is where the 60% figure came from I believe.

While there are some variances between datum, the pictures and testing combine to establish that there is a 50-60% increase over last year. That is an observable increase.

Rejoice always!

Neil, both of Tom's quotes were from Mein Kampf.

Hmmm....Mein Kampf?

Hitler was indeed transmitting precisely what he intended to do through Goebbels; come onto the scene, and change public opinion by repeating the same thing (aka, his manufactured "truth") over and again - until it was accepted by the masses. Such "truth" was the consensus of the officials; anyone disagreeing was deemed a "denier", unintelligent, uneducated, and an "enemy of The Truth".

Sounds very oddly familiar to how AGW got started, and how it is maintained in most circles exalting this school of thought.

I remain VERY skeptical of the AGW, even in concept, due to the paleoclimate data available and due to the scandals associated with the academics. I find it quite odd that the same evolution-minded scientists who use paleoclimatic data to affirm conditions on earth guided evolution, are the same ones who discount the same data being used to contrast today's climate with the climate means over the last 600 million years (estimated time).

Here's a link which endeavors to explore that...from Bravus' own backyard.

The science is FAR from "settled"...food for thought...

"As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17

"The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Waggoner, The Glad Tidings

Then, there's also this...it takes in the evolutionary data for comparison...

...for more food for thought....

And, there's also this as well to add to the mix...

Then there are confessions from an environmentalist to consider, in a venue not known for its friendliness to AGW "deniers"...

There are lots of reasons for thinking the science is far from settled on the matter.

"In the UK and Germany, for example, power-station closures and huge expenditure for backup of volatile wind or solar energy or harmful ethanol production will raise energy prices massively and even threaten power cuts: the economic cost will be crippling, all driven by fear.

We now have time for rational decarbonising. This may be achieved by cost-improved and competitive renewable technologies at the best European sites, through higher energy efficiency and by improving the use of conventional fossil energy.

The choice is no longer between global warming catastrophe and economic growth but between economic catastrophe and climate sense."

Professor Fritz Vahrenholt is one of the fathers of Germany's environmental movement and the director of RWE Innogy, one of Europe's largest renewable energy companies. Last Wednesday, he delivered the 3rd Global Warming Policy Foundation Annual Lecture at the Royal Society, London.

Vahrenholt makes a lot of sense,
